Qualifications:
Cynthia Almonte is a highly trained manual and scoliosis physical therapist with over 27 years of experience in orthopedic and spine related injuries. She attended Physical Therapy School at Hogeschool van Amsterdam, The Netherlands, graduating in 1997. After graduating, she continued her education by pursuing multiple courses from several world renowned practitioners including Stanley Paris, Geoffrey Maitland, Brian Mulligan, Diane Lee, and others. She became a Certified Functional Manual Therapist through the Institute of Physical Art in 2007 and spent the next 7 years building her private practice in Vermont, focusing on spine related injuries. Because of this experience she developed a strong interest in the field of scoliosis and became a Basic Level 1 (C1) certified Schroth therapist in 2015 then an Advanced Level 2 (C2) Certified SchrothTM Therapist in 2016 through the Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School specializing in the treatment of patients with scoliosis. She and her family moved to southern California and she opened her private practice in 2016 focusing solely on the treatment of scoliosis.
